We understand that sometimes things don't always go to plan! You have the ability to dispute using the “Raise A Dispute” option within the enquiry feature. If you dispute a job, a reason will need to be provided and a notification will be sent to Jamma where evidence will be reviewed from each party directly and to come to an agreeable resolution where possible. If this isn't possible, we will advise on next steps to take the resolution to the appropriate governing bodies. In the first instance you will work together to agree on a resolution within the live chat function. If you don’t raise this with Jamma, we cannot be held responsible for the outcome.

Jambassadors

What is the’ Jambassador’ programme and how does it work?

Are you an artist or perhaps you just love independent live music? If so, then our ‘Jambassador’ programme will be right up your street. We are building a network of ‘Jambassadors’ across the UK who are part of the Jamma family. As a ‘Jambassador’ you will be responsible for managing your region and checking out gigs, venues and artists (on us!) to spread the Jamma word. We will provide you with everything you need to get out there - from relevant Jamma factsheets, to free merch and even your own business cards.

The idea is that we all grow together as a collective and have a great time while doing it! You will be responsible for researching gigs in your area and telling us what you want to attend and we’ll grab you a ticket, give the venue a call to let them know you are coming and the rest is over to you, so get out there and get Jammin’! If you are interested in applying, contact us and we’ll be in touch. Meet our current Jambassador team at Jamma Music

Other Info

Why can’t I display my website and contact details on my profile or in messages to clients?

Jamma is all about working together as a collective to develop and progress. In order for the Jamma family to keep growing, it's important that all communication is kept within the website, so that we can ensure that enquiries, bookings and reviews all work towards representing our artists in the best way possible, while making it super easy for the public to find the best talent for their next event. This also means bookings can be covered under our agreed terms and conditions. Anything agreed outside of the platform will not be covered by Jamma.

Why should I want to get verified?

Getting Jamma verification is a lot like being blue-ticked on Instagram or certified on Twitter. It’s essentially a step up from our rate and review function – giving you an exclusive badge to help your artist page(s) stand out from non-verified independent artists. The verification badge is a sign of quality for artists with a proven track record and may increase your chances of being booked for gigs and events! Although we consider all artists who wish to be verified, we do have a list of basic requirements to qualify. Interested? check out this blog.

What is the ‘Artist Spotlight’?

We regularly feature various artists on the Jamma homepage as part of our ‘Artist Spotlight’ series. Being featured on the homepage is a great way to grab some additional exposure and may increase your chances of a booking! We consider all artists for the artist spotlight, so if you would like to be featured, contact us.

What is ‘Jamma Live!’ and how can I check out Jamma events?

A big part of what we do here at Jamma is to try and bridge the gap between the digital and the physical. While technology is a wonderful thing, we also believe in the good old face-to-face. That's why we run regular, exclusive member only events at partner venues across the UK for Jamma artists to perform at and also to meet each other and network in real life! As a Jamma artist, you will have exclusive and priority access to ‘Jamma Live!’ events and the opportunity to perform at them. We also work with National brands to bring maximum exposure to our artists, such as our partnership with The Everyman Cinema group where we put artists on the big screen for virtual concert experiences all across the UK!.

What if my event is impacted by COVID-19, what should I do?

It’s been a tough gig for all involved throughout the Global COVID-19 pandemic. As the World begins to get back to some kind of normality, we regret that Jamma Group Ltd cannot be held responsible for any changes or cancellations to performances due to COVID-19. We will, where possible work with the artist and the client to find a suitable resolution. All users can use the dispute process which is managed by the Jamma team to attempt to find a suitable resolution, where possible.

How do I speak with the artists?

It’s important that we keep all communication within Jamma to ensure that everything is as planned and agreed and to make sure we can be there for you if (on rare occasions) things don't go quite to plan!

Our live chat feature is a great way to discuss, negotiate and agree plans for either artist collaborations and/or performance bookings. We are there for all involved at each step of the way, with email notifications at all key stages of the enquiry and booking process and we have built in a simple dispute process that allows all parties involved to communicate with Jamma and come to a fair and agreeable resolution should things go wrong.

When is payment taken?

We are totally transparent here at Jamma, and we never take a penny from the artists - that's just the way it should be - 0% commission on any artist earnings!. Payment is negotiated and confirmed during the enquiry and booking process through our easy to use live chat. The artist can also add optional extras to their agreed job cost for either a performance or a collaboration if needed. The total monies are processed and held through our payment processing partner Stipe [www.Stripe.com] at the time of booking and released 48 hours after completion, and can take up to 3-5 days to reach your account (unless a dispute is raised).

Can I pay with cash?

In order for Jamma to provide the best possible service to artists, the public and venues alike it's super important that all payments are kept within the Jamma platform. Therefore, we are unable to process any cash transactions. Jamma cannot be held responsible for any issues relating to any cash payments.. We are also in the process of partnering with various digital currency platforms to keep up with the times - if you want to learn more about this, drop us a note at [email protected]

What happens if I need to cancel?

We get that sometimes things don’t go to plan, we’re only human right?! The criteria for cancellations and refunds is dependent on at what point an event is cancelled, take a read of our cancellation policy for full details. Clients are able to cancel an event up until midnight of the evening prior to the event. Should the event or deadline be after that time, a ‘last minute cancellation’ dispute will need to be raised through the dispute portal within the user's profile.

How do the artists price their fee?

Not sure what to charge for your next gig of collaboration? For some helpful tips and advice on how to price your gig, take a read of this blog article.

Can I make changes to a booking?

Once a booking is confirmed it is not possible to change the booking details. You can, however, continue to discuss the specifics or any changes within the enquiry live chat and also edit the booking notes should any additional changes be agreed. For major changes (such as price, date etc.) be agreed, the booking will need to be cancelled and a new enquiry and booking opened by the client.

If I'm delivering a piece of work to a client, how can they approve this?

Artist: If you are working on a collaborative piece or work with another artist, you will be able to set the required date within the booking confirmation of the enquiry process. Once the work has been delivered and everyone is happy, the recipient must sign off on the workpiece using the ‘approve & pay now’ option within the booking screen.

What is “Approve and Pay Now” and how does it work?

We appreciate that for trusted and repeat bookings and in order to fully support artists it would be great to be able to pay for your job and/or gig at the time of booking, that's why we have added to ‘Pay Now’ option within the booking confirmation live chat should you wish to pay up prior to the booking.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yep, we would hate to see you leave us but should you wish to move on you can cancel your subscription and membership with immediate effect through the ‘Artist Settings’ tab of your profile If you wish to permanently remove your account, please contact us.

How do I know if an artist is available?

Unless an artist specifies that they are away, all artists are set to be available. Use the search feature to find what you are looking for or browse the job board. Once you connect with an artist you can use the enquiry live chat feature to chat dates and confirm them when making a booking.

As an artist how can I set myself away?

Jamma uses an ‘out of office’ type function to allow you to set yourself as away if you are taking a break from Jammin’!. Hit the Artist Settings option from the top right menu on your profile to set your away dates.

Can I add people to manage my profile page?

Yes! One of the many great features here at Jamma is that users can assign ‘team members’ to their artist page(s) in order to give other users administration access to their accounts. Hit the artist settings button from the top right menu on your profile to invite team members to your page.
